Sinopsis Film The Host (2013) :

The Host bercerita tentang kelangsungan hidup cinta dan semangat manusia dalam waktu perang. Dunia kita telah diserang oleh musuh yang tak terlihat. Manusia menjadi tuan rumah untuk penyerbu, pikiran mereka diambil alih sementara tubuh mereka tetap utuh. Sebagian besar umat manusia telah menyerah. Ketika Melanie (Saoirse Ronan), salah satu dari beberapa sisa manusia "liar" ditangkap, dia yakin itu adalah akhir hidupnya.
